When you picture the Cotswolds, we’re willing to bet you think of the classic ‘chocolate box’ stone cottages, with gardens filled with nodding flowers and rolling green hills, right? And you would be right, but there’s so much more to discover…

Private gardens – Discover the beauty of England and Wales through the National Garden Scheme (NGS), which opens over 3,500 private gardens to the public annually, all in support of various charities. Founded in 1927, the NGS has raised more than £67 million, benefiting organizations like Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie. Hook Norton Brewery – Are you a fan of real ale? The Cotswolds is brewing up something special in the historic Victorian Tower Brewery of Oxfordshire… Their 1.5-hour guided tours take you through the five-story facility, showcasing time-honoured brewing methods and concluding with a tutored tasting session in the cellar bar. Tours are £20 per person and must be booked in advance.

Cotswolds Distillery Tour – Or perhaps you’d prefer a stiffer drink? Join the team at the award-winning Cotswolds Distillery for a 90-minute tour and tasting experience. The tour begins with a short video highlighting their story and traditional production methods, followed by a guided tour of the distillery and cask warehouse. At the end, you’ll sample their range of spirits and liqueurs.
