Here at Rosehill Travel, my team and I live the Cotswolds. Not all of us were born and bred here but we’ve chosen to live here for a reason and you’ll understand why when you get here
After studying tourism and hospitality, I worked in Europe, North America and Asia, where I spent time getting to know the heart and soul of everywhere I visited.
Through spending time with locals, sharing first-hand experiences and seeing places through their eyes. And that’s what inspires me everyday at Rosehill Travel – showing our clients the real Cotswolds, not what you see in a brochure. Here at Rosehill Travel, we take you to the hidden hamlets and villages, tell you about the area’s unique history and folklore, and make your time with us an enduring part of your holiday memories.
I began my journey in the world of travel with a degree in Tourism, studied in the heart of one of the world’s most iconic destinations—Venice. Surrounded by history, culture, and a constant flow of international visitors, I developed not only a strong foundation in the industry but also a lifelong passion for creating memorable travel experiences.
That passion has taken me on many adventures, both near and far. Today, I call the beautiful Cotswolds home—a region I absolutely love exploring and sharing with others. From its rolling hills to charming villages, the Cotswolds continues to inspire my work and fuel my enthusiasm for helping others discover their own perfect getaway.
With a friendly approach and a genuine love for travel, I’m here to help craft unique, seamless, and inspiring journeys.
I retired a few years ago from health screening many clients all over the UK . Having got to know these Isles pretty well decided the best place to enjoy life to the full couldn’t get any better than in the beautiful Cotswolds. I love sharing the beauty, in particular the many hidden gems and anecdotes relating to these wonderful surroundings with both our first time visitors and our many returnees. It’s THE best job!
I first discovered my love for tour guiding in my twenties while working as a tour guide in London, and after building a career in management consultancy and running two businesses, I returned to this passion. Now living in the north Cotswolds, with a previous home in the south Cotswolds and having studied in Oxford, I bring a rich understanding of the area’s history, landscapes, and culture. I take pride in crafting bespoke experiences that showcase the charm of the Cotswolds, whether it’s exploring castles, enjoying a craft beer in a historic pub, or discovering iconic landmarks and hidden gems.
During my 40 years in the travel industry, my most memorable moments have been enjoying the local charm and hidden gems I’ve been lucky enough to visit. And this is the experience I love giving visitors to the Cotswolds: seeking out villages that aren’t in any guidebook, ‘stumbling’ across a delightful country pub for lunch, taking a deserted lane for an uninterrupted vista, and always being utterly flexible so the day is truly theirs.
My dream move to the Cotswolds was some 30 years ago and as a consultant in the UK tourism sector, I’ve travelled all over the country, but nowhere is quite like home. I never tire of long walks in the Cotswolds hills with my family and faithful black lab Monty, and like nothing more than sharing my wealth of knowledge about the landscape, history and food of the area, and showing people the undiscovered gems that lie off the beaten tourist track.
My love affair with the Cotswolds started when I settled here with my husband and two children in the Nineties. Exploring the escarpments, rivers, brooks and streams ignited my interest in the beauty and history of the Cotswolds, drawing me into its inspiring literature and rich heritage. My other passion is cars and I love touring through the Cotswolds, showing and telling clients about the secret places I’ve discovered over the years.
During a long career in journalism I lived all over England and in Australia, before spending more than two decades working for The Guardian newspaper in London. A spell as a teacher of English as a foreign language followed and gave me my first experience of tour guiding, as I hosted foreign students and showed them around places of interest in southern England. After moving to The Cotswolds I welcomed the opportunity to join Rosehill Travel and show visitors around the beautiful area that I now live in.

I was born and raised in the Cotswolds and, apart from four years away at University I have lived here all my life. Guiding our guests around allows me to see afresh through their delighted eyes what I take for granted – the charm and beauty of the Cotswolds.
