Paola is the newest member of the Rosehill Travel family and has joined the team to help curate luxury tours and holidays for our esteemed guests.
When you contact the office, there’s a good chance you will speak to Paola, so we’d like to introduce you and give her the chance to tell you a little about herself…
Paola’s background
“I was born about an hour from Venice, on the rolling Prosecco hills that are now so popular and went on to study tourism. Venice is my city – the city that first sparked my love for travel, culture, and the unique experiences that come with exploring new places. Living and learning in such an iconic destination gave me a deep appreciation for the little details that make each journey special.
I’ve built my career in the tourism and hospitality industry, driven by a deep passion for delivering exceptional experiences and cultural insight. My journey has taken me from world-renowned events like the Venice Film Festival, where I honed my skills in high-pressure, high-profile environments, to working with luxury travel brand Abercrombie & Kent, providing bespoke services to discerning clients.
Now based in the beautiful Cotswolds, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by rolling countryside, historic villages, and a slower pace of life that I truly enjoy. I love discovering hidden corners of the region, exploring gardens, and finding inspiration in nature. When I’m not out adventuring, you’ll often find me on the mat enjoying a Pilates session – I find it keeps me grounded and energised.
Travel, nature, and the simple joys of beautiful places are at the heart of everything I do. I’m always looking for ways to connect with others who share those same passions.
My favourite spot in the Cotswolds
How could I say I have a favourite spot?! Having said that, I am very fond of the Slaughters and Stow, but I do cherish lots of the Cotswolds countryside; so, this summer, thanks to some wonderful weather, I spent many glorious hours exploring local gardens through the National Garden Scheme (NGS) – a brilliant charity that supports great causes through garden open days. I’ve been amazed by the incredibly talented gardeners in this region and the beautiful settings they open up to the public.
Some of my favourites this year include Highnam Court, Eckington’s open gardens, and a Japanese-style garden in Cheltenham. I also love chatting with the owners, many of whom sell flowers and homemade cakes to raise funds – such a wonderful and inspiring community initiative.
How I help Rosehill guests and clients
With over 20 years of living in the Cotswolds, I still find new places to fall in love with, and I genuinely enjoy sharing those discoveries. Whether it’s a cosy pub, a hidden gem of a shop, a family-friendly hotel, or a scenic walk, I’m always happy to recommend spots I’ve personally enjoyed with my own family.
Because I live and breathe the area, I’m constantly aware of what’s new and happening – making sure my clients get the most current, authentic, and thoughtful suggestions.
Looking ahead to autumn
I’m really looking forward to a proper autumn in the Cotswolds; the colours, the light, crisp walks. Some of my favourite places for autumn walks include Cleeve Hill, Lineover Woods, and the reservoir near Dunkertons, which is perfect when you want to end a walk with a good meal.
I’m also really looking forward to the Cheltenham Literature Festival. I take part every year, and it’s always such a joy to discover new authors and attend the live events. There’s always an incredible buzz around town.”
