Why the Cotswolds are a must-visit destination for luxury travellers
We’d like to share a story of one of our wonderful guests with you… The lady first visited England over thirty years ago with her husband. After a short stay in the Cotswolds, she knew it was a place she had to return, to explore and share with her family. Rosehill Travel was enlisted for our expertise and for what she dubbed, ‘A Grand Adventure’ of a ten-day Cotswolds holiday.
Our guest asked Rosehill Travel to organise tours of the Cotswolds, including booking accommodations here and in London and evening meals. We organised reservations at Lucknam Park hotel, Lords of the Manor, and the Bloomsbury both of which hotels offer the option of formal fine dining or more relaxed informal restaurants.
Throughout their stay, the couple were met by chauffeurs, Nick, James, Rumen, John and Lesley who escorted them from their hotels, guided their tours and returned them to their evening destinations.
Our guest said, “I can’t believe how our week has flown by, but filled with wonderful experiences and fond memories. Lesley was absolutely the best ever guide with such an interesting personal history, and Rumen was such a gentleman! How can I ever thank you enough for all you did to make our GRAND ADVENTURE so memorable?”
Their chosen London hotel to round off the Grand Adventure with lunch, was The Mitre, a luxury riverside boutique hotel and restaurant in very close proximity to Hampton Court Palace (built by King Henry IIIV for Jane Seymour in 1530). A location with stunning views and well known by our chauffeurs, “a lovely drive through London, for a perfect last day in England.”
We hope to see the couple again for an 80th birthday celebration, but in the meantime, can we make your memorable grand adventure dreams come true?
