Before you know it, it will be spring again and you’ll hear the Cotswolds calling! This is the time to start planning your Luxury Cotswold Holiday… The tips within this blog will help you decide whether it’s a short break you’re looking for, or a longer stay, and which part of the nearly 800 square miles of the region is right for you…
North or South Cotswolds?
In the ‘famous’ north of the Cotswolds you will find scenery that lazily rolls away from your gaze as you enjoy the green vistas of soft hills and distant limestone buildings. We call it ‘famous’ because this is the area that attracts many celebrities including Jeremy Clarkson, Ellen DeGeneres, Taylor Swift and the Beckhams.
The north serves you with a manicured, graceful version of the Cotswolds, treating you to villages such as Chipping Campden, Broadway, centrally located Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

Whilst in the south Cotswolds, you’ll find a more rugged, valleyed scene with wild meadows and steeply wooded hills. Here you will find Cirencester – the origin of the River Thames, Castle Combe, Tetbury, Malmesbury, Woodstock – the home of Blenheim Palace and Bibury (because it’s so popular!)
A Cotswold holiday in the south brings you to grand houses and gardens, cathedrals and abbeys…
Less crowded and full of secret corners which ooze quintessential charm, the south of the Cotswolds is where to head for stunning scenery and historical buildings. King Charles and Queen Camilla chose this area as their country home for a reason, after all!

A luxury Cotswold holiday in the north or south? The choice is between sleepy villages and country pubs, or bustling towns and country pubs! If you’re still struggling to decide, we will happily share our depth of knowledge of the area and guide you to the perfect destination.
A Cotswold holiday for a long weekend, or a longer week?
During a Cotswolds short break you will have time to take a two-day tour. This includes a personal driver-guide, personally recommended destinations, and a manor house garden visit. Your two-day, one-night break will be a whistlestop tour of the greatest hits of the Cotswolds and we’ll make sure you get the true English country experience.
However, if you’d prefer a more languorous holiday, with time to see every highlight from north to south, visit grand cathedrals, castles and historic towns of Bath and Stratford-Upon-Avon, then the seven-day Cotswold holiday package is for you.

You can take in country walks, horse-riding, brewery tours, antique shopping and even just take time out to relax in the spa with a glass of something chilled.
A seven-day Cotswold holiday includes three nights in the north, and three nights in the south. All staying at select 5-star hotels with exquisite dining.
Do you feel two days is enough? Would you like to stay at one of the exclusive hotels and spas and visit destinations as seen in Rivals, Father Brown and Harry Potter?

TIP: We also offer one-day tours if you’re visiting the Cotswolds from London and can help you arrange your accommodation across a multi-site holiday between London and the Cotswolds.
